Course Open

Following the hottest day of the year up to now when Elton John rocked at Anfield, the Gentlemen's Mixed Foursomes teed off on Saturday 18th of June. Although the temperature had dropped 10° from the previous day, the skill and enthusiasm of the participants did not. Captain, Tony Morrissey generously hosted a Prosecco and Gin Reception prior to the annual Summer Dance.

The Dr. Peter Stuart Memorial Salvers were won by Tim and Cath Morris with 71 net, with father and daughter teams of Abernethy and Fisher, and Ian and Lynne Harrison coming a close second with 72 on a card play off. David and Rebecca McDermott won the Forbes Cooper Scratch Challenge Bowl with a commendable gross 84.

Although the balcony was not as inviting as it is on a warm balmy evening, we were still brave enough to cool down following a delicious fillet steak and bopping to Brown Eyed Girl!

Congratulations to all the winners and all the catering and bar staff for an excellent evening!
