On Tuesday 11th December, 64 ladies played their 9 Hole Christmas Competition in festive spirit. An array of various santa jumpers were on display including elfs, Father Christmas and even James and Gavin joined in the spirit with their twinkling Christmas jumpers.
The golf was followed by an excellent 3 course Christmas lunch, after which Lady Captain, Jan Owen, introduced Lady Captain Elect, Suzanne Martin, who responded.
After lunch, the ladies continued the merriment with a variety of activities, including bridge, beetle drive and quiz followed by a prize presentation.
The Golf was won by Elaine Martin, Pam Coates, Chris Mitchell and Carole Davis with 42 points. Nearest the Pins, Elaine Martin and Caryl Evans.
The Bridge was won by Barbara McCormack and Betty Dalton with 3020 points. Slam won by Muriel Griffiths and Beryl Almond.
The Beetle Drive Queen was Alexia Gilby with 73 points and a prize for the most creative Beetles was awarded to Juliet Weston.
The Quiz was won by team “It’s All A Mystery” with 48 points. But it remains a mystery as to who all the members of the team were!
