Our Captain Mr Jim Brown held his first dinner here at the club on Saturday 27th April for our Gentlemen's Spring Dinner.
The top table was made up of our Captain, 25 Past Captain's, 13 Visiting Captains, the Captain of the Society of Liverpool Golf Captains, Honorary Member David Boyle, club guest Anthony Lorimer and our Club Chairman David Hughes.
The catering has received some fantastic feedback and consisted of:
- Parma Ham and Local Asparagus with Vinaigrette
- Scotch Broth
- Roast Rump of Lamb, Mint Sauce, Seasonal Vegetables and New Potatoes
- WLGC Cheeseboard
- Coffee & Mints
Senior Past Captain Present, Mr J M Taggart said Grace.
The Toast 'The West Lancashire Golf Club' was proposed Mr T S Williams, the Captain of Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
The response was by our Captain Mr J Brown.
Our member Mr A Selby proposed the toast 'Our Guests'
And the response was by Mr R Wilson, the Captain of Formby Golf Club.
Toastmaster for the evening was our Past Captain Mr J Morris.
