|The Easter Bank Holiday Mixed Foursomes was played in sunshine rivaling the Cote d'Azur. Indeed, if you could ignore the Arctic breeze, The West Lancashire Golf Club produced perfect conditions with the course unrivaled and greens the envy of course managers throughout the country!
The winners of The Audrey Brownill Trophy were Tim and Cath Morris with 45 points, Runners Up Alan Woodward and Tony Keane, 42 points; 3rd John and Gill Peck, 41 points; 4th on a CPO, Dan McDowell and Janet Morrissey. Neil Dalton and Lynne Harrison won Nearest the Pins. The Two's were won by Lee and Suzanne Martin (17th) and Alan Woodward and Tony Keane (3rd).
40 pairs entered the competition and, despite the police helicopter, Coast Guard and patrol cars chasing a motorcyclist on the beach, we then enjoyed the famous West Lancashire Golf Club carvery!
