Queen's Platinum Jubilee Mixed Golf
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee was a great occasion for the nation and a lovely excuse for an extra mixed golf competition and dinner at the start of the celebration weekend.
Surrounded by red, white and blue, the meal was a joyous affair enjoyed by everyone. The Royal fish and chips were especially good!
The standard of golf seemed to rise for the event with card checker Ian Harrison needing to go back to the eighth hole to differentiate between the prize winners.
It was good to welcome Mike and Lorna Sharman back to the winners enclosure.
The results were as follows
First with 45 points Mike and Lorna Sharman
Second with 43 Ian and Lynne Harrison
Third with 42 points Roye and Paula Calder
Fourth with 42 points James Davies and Carole Davis
Nearest the pin were Carole Davis on the 6th and Graham Jones on the 17th
Special thanks to Mike and Rosie O'Hanlon for organising the festive flower displays on the balcony and the beautiful arrangement in the Hall.
