Dress Code & Etiquette

Members are responsible for ensuring that they and their guests meet these requirements in the Clubhouse, on the course and practice areas.

GENERAL

Smart Casual is the overall Dress Code and members are reminded that they are responsible for their guests’ compliance.

All members, visitors and guests are expected to be appropriately dressed on the Course, in the Clubhouse and surrounding areas. The Club reserves the right to refuse access to anyone not meeting the standard expected or wearing any other item of dress deemed inappropriate not expressly mentioned below.

Members are respectfully requested to support the Club Management in administering these rules. The Club has the right to temporarily relax the Dress Code to facilitate events. Children under 10 years old are not bound by the Dress Code.

CAR PARK

Players are requested not to change in the car park.

DRESS ON THE COURSE

• Smart golf clothing with shirts tucked in.
• Non collared golf shirt with sleeves
• Golf shoes must be worn by players. Caddies and spectators may wear trainers.
• Turtlenecks or modern trends for tapered and zip-up collars are permitted as are hoodies if specifically designed and sold as golf attire.
• Shorts must be tailored and of an appropriate style and length.
• Ladies are permitted to wear calf-length trousers, skorts and sleeveless shirts.
• Any length of light coloured sock appropriate with the golf shoes and shorts.

DRESS IN THE CLUBHOUSE

• The dress code is Smart Casual and appropriate to maintaining the high standards of the Club.
• All the above as allowed on the course and must be clean and dry.
• Non spiked cleaned golf shoes may be worn in the clubhouse (except in the Dining Room) from 1^st April to 30^th From 1^st October to 31^st March they may only be worn in the Spike Bar (Blundell Lounge).
• Clean smart training shoes may also be worn.
• Dining may take place in accordance with the above dress except at certain functions when the Dress Code will be posted prior to the event.

DRESS NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE

• Cargo, combat trousers or similar, denim jackets, jeans, or joggers.
• Metal spiked golf shoes, apart from 1^st October to 31^st
• T-Shirts, team sports shirts, tracksuits or beach wear.
• Sleeveless shirts prohibited for Gentlemen.

DRESS NOT ALLOWED IN THE CLUBHOUSE

• All the above, that are not allowed on the course.
• Golf shoes are prohibited in the Dining Room at all times.
• Metal spiked golf shoes may only be worn in the players’ entrance and locker rooms.
• Golf waterproofs overcoats, caps, hats and scarves are not to be worn in any upstairs room and should be deposited in the appropriate locker room or clothing rail on the first floor landing.

Outside Functions

When the Clubhouse is being used for an externally organised function, the Dress Code may be relaxed for those attending.
