************* 2024 Final Qualifying *************
Final Qualifying for The 152nd Open at Royal Troon in 2024 took place on Tuesday 2 July at Burnham & Berrow, Dundonald Links, Royal Cinque Ports and here at West Lancashire.
A year on from one Royal Liverpool member navigating West Lancashire, history repeated itself at Final Qualifying.
As Matthew Jordan secured a dream Open appearance at his home club, Royal Liverpool, in 2023, Matthew Dodd-Berry watched on with envy and returned this year determined to avoid the same feeling.
Three bogeys in his first four holes threatened to push Dodd-Berry out of contention but the 20-year-old showed tremendous character in trying conditions, with nine birdies, one eagle and just one further dropped shot enough to secure a place at Royal Troon.
Dodd-Berry was joined on six-under-par by Sam Horsfield, while Daniel Brown (-5) and Masahiro Kawamura (-5) completed the qualifying quartet.

************* 2023 Final Qualifying *************
On the 4th July 2023, West Lancashire, with three other venues; Royal Porthcawl, Dundonald Links and Royal Cinque Ports hosted Final Qualifying for the 151st Open to be played just down the road from us at Royal Liverpool.
On a fantastic links day with a good breeze, Matt Wallace came through as the winner on -11. Matthew Jordan, Kyle Barker, Alex Fitzpatrick and Tiger Christensen were the other golfers to qualify from West Lancashire.
Sergio Garcia, who started very well, unfortunately had a poor last 9 holes and fell short of qualifying for his 26th consecutive Open.
We are delighted to be hosting Final Qualifying 2023 through to 2026.
