The New Clubhouse

12 June 1961, the present golf course was opened, and on 14 May 1962, the present clubhouse was opened by our President, Mr Brian Whitlock-Blundell. Designed by London architects Tripe & Wakeham and built by Holland & Hannen and Cubitts, nestling among sand dunes, this modern suntrap building, with principal rooms on the first floor and a broad terrace along the north side, commands a fine view of the busy St Georges Channel in the River Mersey.
